Executive Summary
The MSLA Board met on September 16. The MSLA website is being updated and is expected to go live around November 1. This new site has features such as an embedded Twitter feed, pictures and quotes from students, and a new design to keep our image fresh.
The Professional Learning Committee has been working on several opportunities for professional development. EdCamp MSLA was held this past weekend on September 26. There are opportunities to volunteer at the MSLA booth and, possibly present, at MassCUE on October 21 & 22 at Gillette Stadium. Mark your calendars for Digital Learning Day on January 8, 2016, which will be held at the WGBH Studios in Boston. If you missed the fall ELL training, there will be another session on the Cape during April vacation. In social media opportunities, MSLA has been invited to moderate the popular #EdchatMA on October 27 on Twitter.
Congratulations to Cathy Collins from Sharon High School on her appointment as MSLA Advocacy Chair.
