MSLA STRATEGIC PLAN: TIMELINE for drafting a new one
February - August 2022 - Jen Varney & Deb Froggatt met several times to plan the process
September 17, 2022 - Fall Board Retreat - Kicked off the process with the full Board as we reviewed our existing plan and also the plans of MLS, MBLC, and AASL. We brainstormed what we liked and what we would like to see added to the new plan.
-> A committee was formed - Committee members: Board members Morgan Keohane, Jen Varney, Deb Froggatt, Barb Fecteau, Ella Stocker, Claudia Palframan, Reba Tierney; vendor representative Hugh Ahearn from Mackin, and Sarah Sogigan, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Library System. More members may be added.
October 2022-February 2023 - the committee will meet in full and in subcommittees to draft the new plan.
February 2023 - the MSLA Board will formally adopt the new plan
March 2023 - the plan will be presented to MSLA members at our Annual Conference at UMass Amherst.
