Judi Paradis, Kendall Boninti, and Robin Cicchetti met with representatives from the DESE on June 9 and it looks like the state organization will be supportive of the survey created by Carol Gordon and Robin Cicchetti being used in school libraries. The commission will pilot the survey in September at Westborough High School and recruit 20 additional school libraries from across the state to participate during October and November. Results from the surveys will be analyzed in December. Look for a press release to publicize this upcoming survey.
The MSLA website is being revised this summer and will be rolled out this fall.
There are open positions on the Advocacy Committee, Retiree SIG, Student SIG, VendorLiaison, and MRA (Massachusetts Reading Association?) Liaison. Please email Anita Cellucci at email@example.com and let her know if you are interested in one of the positions.

Kathy Lowe has been hard at work implementing the new registration software from Cvent. Check it out when you register for Better Together, the collaborative conference with MassCue, held on August 20.
