Virtual School Librarian
This resource is a collaboration between the Massachusetts Library System (MLS) and the Massachusetts School Library Association (MSLA). This site ensures that all students and teachers have the services of a school librarian to find high-quality information, tools and strategies to continue developing media literacy and research skills. This page includes digital resources available to each person in Massachusetts either through the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners or through the Boston Public Library with an e-card. There is also a virtual "Ask a School Librarian" service.
To bring awareness to sun safety, the American Cancer Society has designated the Friday before Memorial Day as Don’t Fry Day. Memorial Day weekend traditionally opens the summer season and Don’t Fry Day is a good time to offer students resources to remind them to be SunAWARE!
SunAWARE is a curriculum program developed by The Children’s Melanoma Prevention Foundation (CMPF) a nonprofit founded by Maryellen Eisen. The CMPF has a long history of educating students and staff to be SunAWARE. A recent grant from South Shore Community Partners in Prevention enabled CMPF to produce SunAWARE video lessons and add them to their online library of free educational K-12 resources. They even created a catchy rap!

The videos are short and it is the intent of the videos to provide material that will engage students and inspire further exploration of the subject.
Distant Learning Resources- This Wakelet for Distant Learning Resources was created by teachers who wanted to share the resources they found useful. There is a plethora of boards to explore.
