Mark Binder

Mark Binder is the author of numerous award-winning books and CDs. As an author, his work falls into three categories: Mark Binderoriginal and traditional folk-style tales, the “Chelm” series of books and stories, and autobiographical whoppers and lies. In 2010, he released two new live audio albums: A Holiday Present and It Was a Dark and Stormy Night (spooky comedy). His novel, The Brothers Schlemiel was recently published in a beautifully illustrated hardcover edition. It Ate My Sister, is a favorite book for youngsters ages 10 and up (and adults with a sense of humor). His collection, The Bed Time Story Book. was written for caregivers to share with their children, and has sold more than 60,000 copies in a dozen editions.

Alisa M. Libby has always loved to write, though she dabbled in other potential careers in her formative years: trumpetAlissa Libby player, actress, astronomer, unicorn. While studying writing at Emerson College, she wrote numerous short stories about the “blood countess” of Hungarian legend, which years later evolved into The Blood Confession, her first novel. Alisa is drawn to writing the stories of “bad girls” in history. Blood Confession is about a legendary Hungarian Countess. For her second novel, The King’s Rose, she visited the Tower of London in search of the ghost of Catherine Howard, fifth wife of the notorious King Henry VIII.

Martha Ackmann is an author, journalist and speaker who writes about women who have Martha Ackmannchanged America. She has appeared on the Today Show, CNN, NPR and the BBC and her columns have been published in newspapers across the country.  Martha is a much-in-demand public speaker for National Women's History Month events and has presented talks to schools, universities, museums and professional groups. She is the president of the Emily Dickinson International Society and is working on a new book, Vesuvius at Home, about Dickinson. A recipient of grants from the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation and the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard, Martha teaches in the gender studies department at Mount Holyoke College.

He lives in New Jersey with his wife and two children.  Daryl’s love of writing began in college as a Theatre Arts major at Virginia Commonwealth University.  But it was his son and daughter that inspired his work for children, including Do Pirates Go To School? and Daddy Did I Ever Say? I Love You, Love You, Every Day. Each year Daryl visit schools around the country with his popular educational programs, including “Teaching Through Creative Arts” a fun exploration of the writing process done through interactive activities, stories and music.
